Aussie Farmers Direct healthy eating food and beverage franchise start milk production dairy
Healthy eating food and beverage franchise, Aussie Farmers Direct , is proud to announce the start of milk production at the Aussie Farmers Dairy in Camperdown, Victoria, a venture that allows the company to now buy milk directly from Australia dairy farms and process, bottle and deliver it directly to customers.
Aussie Farmers Direct has invested over $5 million in re-commissioning the old Bonlac factory, which has been idle for the last decade.
It is a fact that over 90% of fresh milk consumed in Australia is supplied and controlled by foreign owned companies. Aussie Farmers Direct wanted to guarantee that Australians could have the opportunity to buy 100% Australian owned milk, so the healthy eating food and beverage franchise decided to make the Bonlac milk processing facility.
Aussie Farmers Direct milk contains no added permeate (a by-product of several dairy processes including cheese production), typically added to milk as a filler to make it cheaper to produce. Not only does this ultimately reduce money for Australian dairy farmers but it also takes away the fresh, natural tase of real milk.
Aussie Farmers Direct milk is also available in plastic bottles rather than cartons, which are more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
The new Aussie Farmers Dairy has also created 30 jobs initially, with a view toward opening another 100 in the next few years.
