Anytime Fitness franchisee of the year recognised at annual conference for the network of gym franchises
The annual conference for Anytime Fitness gym franchises was held on Hamilton Island in Queensland last week, where Rhys Cutifani was named as franchisee of the year.
Cutifani currently owns and operates five Anytime Fitness gym franchises across NSW and the ACT, and was recognised for his commitment to the brand and operational standards.
Cutifani reports that he was surprised to win the award, but is honoured to accept considering the level of respect he has for the other franchisees that were nominated.
“They are all great operators. We are all such great friends that everyone vying for the award would have been excited no matter who won,” he says. “That is what is so great about the Anytime Fitness crew – the support and solidarity you get from everyone.”
90 franchisees attended the annual conference this year, along with the American co-founder and CEO of the gym franchises, Chuck Runyon, and Anytime Fitness brand strategist Libby Crooker
The conference gave representatives at all levels of the business a chance to discuss marketing, operations and business analysis, explains General Manager David Ciantar.
“[It] was a great opportunity for franchisees and staff to re-focus on what is important in our business and set new goals on where we want to be,” he comments.
Several other awards were presented at the conference, recognising operators of the sport and fitness franchises across Australia and New Zealand, including:
- Club of the year - Steve Rollings, Greenhills (NSW)
- Manager of the year - Emma Griggs, Riccarton (NZ)
- Community outreach award - Kim & Scott Robertson, Adamstown/Jesmond, Warners Bay/Belmont/ Edgeworth (NSW); and
- Anytime spirit award - Brad Greenbank, Ballarat (VIC).
