Addisons Solicitors & Attorneys legal practice business has an outstanding history
Addisons Solicitors & Attorneys has a long history in the practice of law. The legal franchisee business originally started its legal services in 1877. The legal advice firm crossed many paths in its journey.
James Dodds, who practised law in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, later joined with Robert Palmer Abbot and the partnership did its business as Abbot & Dodds. John Richardson joined the law firm in 1895 and after the retirement of Alex Dodds, employed Campbell Addison as a solicitor.
Addison was inducted into the legal firm with the promise that he would undertake the business after the demise of Richardson. A. E. Rex Knox joined as a partner with Campbell Addison in 1952 and the law firm changed its name into Addison & Knox.
Anthony Addison, the son of Campbell Addison, joined the legal firm as a partner in 1976. And after the retirement of Rex Knox, the name of the law firm has been changed into ‘Addisons’ in 1977. Though Campbell Addison ceased to be a partner of the law firm, his services continued with the firm as a consultant until 1991. Addisons Solicitors & Attorneys is an area of the law firm, which has a place in the ‘centenary register’ of the Law Society.
