Kumon is an organisation that prides itself on its sense of community and supportive environment. Ensuring franchisees feel supported at all times is a key priority. All new franchisees are provided with a thorough training programme before opening their centres as well as intensive, personalised support after centre opening. There is a strong system of ongoing support, including networking opportunities with other franchisees and a personal consultant who is assigned to work closely with each franchisee in the development of their business.
