About Safetyquip Australia
SafetyQuip is Australia's only significant franchised player in full scope Workplace Safety Supplies and Services - a billion dollar market and boom-time (given that so many businesses must buy safety gear and consumables BY LAW).

Growth Market - Ground Floor
Imagine having a product range and services that businesses are compelled to purchase – or else face stinging fines, massive compensation payouts and even jail terms. That’s the safety business – the kind of ground floor opportunity McDonalds was 20 years ago and Subway 10.

There is plenty of opportunity to grow. The market is accelerating fast as an estimated 90% of small to medium enterprises that do not properly comply with workplace health and safety regulations come to understand the scale of the risks they are taking. Workplace accidents kill and injure more Australians every year than are harmed on the road and authorities and the courts have become serious about enforcement and penalties.

Safety Shop On Wheels
Most franchisees start with a single mobile unit – a safety shop on wheels. This is an affordable entry that still secures the full term of the agreement. They then graduate either to a multi-van model, or open their retail Safety Shop first and expand their fleets from there. This ‘career path’ enables you to start small and affordably, but conversely, if you have what the franchisor considers sufficient business experience and capital, you may choose to move directly into the fully developed business model (anywhere up to $350,000 including working capital). In either case, the objective is to see you in a while-collar role ‘managing’ rather than ‘doing’ as quickly as possible.

Full Product Range
SafetyQuip offers an impressive range of products including breathing, skin, eye and ear protection, work wear, height safety, signage, anti-fatigue mats, spill cleanup products, first aid kits and so on. They're needed by a vast range of businesses, which traditionally have sourced from monolithic suppliers fielding sales reps covering large slices of territory. The result has often been impersonal service and poor advice, leaving a significant gap in the market.

Filling the Gap

A local business trying to fill a gap in the market left by the large corporates would quickly run into a wall. You might be willing to provide the kind of personal attention only a local business can offer, but to field the large range required, compete on price and have access to technical backup, you need to be big.

SafetyQuip’s national franchise network offers buying power, technical support and highly developed business systems to individual franchisees, who then provide local service at a variety of levels.
Intensive Training and Support

No prior safety experience is necessary as training is intensive, professional indemnity standard and expert technical advice on call: 3-weeks in the classroom at Noosa, followed by ‘hand-holding’ in your own territory, and then ongoing intranet modules plus field visits. What is great is that you never STOP learning - your expertise grows week by week and many people find great joy in this. There is particular satisfaction in being able to assist businesses that know full well that they need personalised, onsite and ongoing help.

Basic computer skills and a quick retentive mind are essential. However at least initially, you will probably be somewhat reliant on our on-call support office, and also on the services of a network of high-level consultants available for sophisticated workplace audits.

Building a Business of Value
A developed SafetyQuip franchise has a counter-sales base anchoring a fleet of mobile units, providing customers with the range and pricing of a big player, yet the personal service of a local business. It's a potent combination, enabling motivated franchisees to build businesses of considerable value.

That’s why a 5 + 5 + 5 year term is offered with COMPLETE renewal of the entire period on sale of the business. This provides franchisees with time to build the value of their enterprises, and purchasers the incentive of a full renewal (rather than the typical offer of ‘balance of term remaining’). Regional Expansion Opportunities

SafetyQuip is actively seeking suitable candidates to establish franchises in Sydney, Mackay and Townsville. If you’re seeking a business venture…
