About FoodWorks
Created from the Merger of the FoodWorks Supermarket Group Ltd (FSG) and Australian United Retailers (AUR) in November 2004 in response to rapid industry consolidation and increased competition, Australian United Retailers Limited (AURL) is an independent retail supermarket group trading under the "FoodWorks" brand.

Foundation members of FoodWorks were originally AUR, Foodstore, FoodWorks, Buy Rite, Cut Price, 727, Rite-Way, Food-Rite, Tuckerbag and Food-Way proprietors.

Who are FoodWorks?
The Company now has over 710 supermarkets, food and convenience stores spanning seven states / territories nationally with around 390 of these operating under the FoodWorks brand, clearly visible by the fresh orange and green logo design and signage.

The past two years has seen the brand go from strength to strength, becoming Australia's second largest leading independent supermarket retailing group, supporting in excess of $1.35 billion in annual sales at the retail level.

It's the little things!
FoodWorks prides itself on its fresh, contemporary approach to retail whilst still retaining a friendly, community-focused relationship with its customers. Each and every retailer in FoodWorks is different and all have a strong sense of independence, but all proudly uphold the positioning statement ‘What can we do for you today?' At FoodWorks, what sets us apart from other supermarkets is our ability to be "closer to our customers". This is because all the people that own and operate our supermarkets live and are part of their local communities. FoodWorks is a company made up of committed people. Our customers are treated as individuals, not numbers. It's the little things that we do in our stores that make a big difference to our customers.
