Aussie Farmers Direct awards its franchisees

Online fruit and vegetable franchise Aussie Farmers Direct recognised its top performing franchisees for 2013 recently, with the highly regarded Franchisee of the Year award going to Jeff and Jennelle Reynolds.

The pair, who hail from West Australia’s Canning Vale milk round in south east Perth, were selected for the brand’s top prize after they fulfilled a strict set of criteria.

The criteria in question covers everything from customer service and business innovation to community involvement and the degree of support the Reynolds’ offer their fellow franchisees.

Simon Allam of Terrigal on the New South Wales Central Coast took out the National Fundraiser of the Year award.

The award takes into account a range of factors, including:

  • The amount of money franchisees raise for local schools and clubs
  • Their attendance at community events
  • The number of schools and clubs they fundraise for
  • An overall evaluation of the franchisee’s involvement in the local community

“Every one of our franchisees deserves recognition for their efforts as a community milko,” said Jordan Muir, the CEO of Aussie Farmers Direct.

“Together we have all been working to make a difference to local farmers and local economies, and we are looking forward to the future where we can make an even more profound impact on the country.”

The state Franchisees of the Year were:

  • QLD: Benn Steadman from south west Brisbane
  • NSW/ACT: Linda Price from south west Sydney
  • VIC: Pete and Rochelle Andrew from Bendigo
  • SA: Gerard Griggs from south Adelaide
  • WA: Jeff and Jennelle Reynolds from south east Perth
