Drive through store driving Zarraffa's newest franchisees
According to a recent report, it seems franchisees of the Zarraffa's Coffee drive through store at a petrol station on the Gold Coast have turned their love of coffee into a new business opportunity.
Franchise owners as well as husband and wife team, Dimity and Handley Jones, who already own a Bank of Queensland franchise, picked Zarraffa's Coffee as their next franchise business initiative because of the brand and the products.
"I’m a huge fan of the coffee," said Dimity Jones.
"But ultimately we understood it was a smart business investment having witnessed the success of our friends who own another drive through store.
"It’s the best of both worlds; combining our love of coffee, with a highly successful franchise model that has a proven track record."
What makes a successful franchise?
According to Dimity, they are looking to promote a diverse range of staff to create a dynamic team.
"We feel a responsibility as small business owners to recruit staff based on what they can offer a business and we understand the benefits gained by encouraging team diversity," explained Dimity.
Location, location, location
The new Tugun site is the first to open as part of the company’s push to ‘bookend’ drive through franchise stores with high visibility, high traffic convenience sites and petrol station locations - and it is also the 53rd store in the Zarraffa's Coffees franchise network.
"Our expansion plans are not simply about populating the country with Zarraffa’s Coffee stores but rather geared toward creating profitable and sustainable businesses for our franchisees, with greater ease of access for coffee drinkers," said Kenton Campbell, CEO of Zarraffa's Coffees.
"We are interested in talking to retailers and landlords who hold convenience locations of all shapes and sizes.
"Our drive through model is adaptable; from the four window, double sided ‘super drive through’ to a free standing version and we are on the lookout for available land for lease, purchase or any other combination. It all comes down to location."
