The interesting story of Your Cleaner's evolution in the home services industry

The Your Cleaner franchise was originally into commercial cleaning, managed by the Wallace family. Elizabeth Robert, Maureen, David, Tom, Kath, Pat and Tony ran the successful commercial cleaning business for until the late 1990's. It was in April 1999 that Elizabeth Wallace and her daughter, Cindy, started house cleaning that eventually became the handyman franchise. They launched the Domestix Residential to provide house cleaning services to customers.

The astonishing growth rate resulted in 13 cleaning contractors working for the family within 18 months across Adelaide. In September 2002, the business was sold due to a family crisis and for the next two years the Wallace family with Elizabeth, Tony and Cindy, did smaller scale jobs. In August 2005, Elizabeth launched a service that was fresh, professional and fun. This new company was called Your Cleaner Pty Ltd then began the building of one of the best cleaning services in Australia.

In August 2006, with a rapidly growing business, Your Cleaner opened its arms for franchising as the only way to grow quickly while maintaining a quality service as sub contractors continuously let people down. The home services business started advertising asking for the right people to join the system with 50 per cent discount on the franchise fee for the first ten franchisees.

In this way, Elizabeth became the Managing Director of Your Cleaner. She also works as an Executive manager in a non profit organisation in South Australia. Tony Richter is the Franchise manager in Adelaide and he also handles all quotes for customers.
