After having been open under new management for just 8 months, Worldwide Online Printing in Gosnells is already an award-winner.

New owners of the retail printing franchise Steve and Kim Silvi were awarded 2008 Best Franchised Business at the Gosnells City Business & Tourism Association’s Small Business Awards gala dinner on 29 October.

“We’re extremely proud of this award; we hope it’s just the first of many yet to come” exclaimed Steve.

Any business which operates within the City of Gosnells was eligible to enter in any of the 18 categories.

Not only did the delighted Silvis come away with an award, but Worldwide business services franchise Gosnells was also official print sponsor of the awards and sponsored two category awards one for Professional Services and the other for Innovation & Marketing.

“We’re part of a great business community here in Gosnells. It’s really rewarding to be involved in part of a set of awards that recognises that,” said Kim.

Worldwide digital printing services franchise Gosnells designed and printed the nomination packs for the awards, along with other items, including the dinner tickets, menus and the certificates for all finalists and winners in every category. All the material was printed on Worldwide’s range of environmentally friendly paper, making ‘green’ the theme for the night.

Worldwide Green is one of the few papers made entirely from post-consumer waste. It’s better for the environment than paper made from pre-consumer waste because the material has already been used as a consumer item, like a milk carton or box, before being recycled and reconstituted into paper.

The Gosnells City Business & Tourism Association 2008 Small Business Awards judging panel consisted of four independent professionals who were chosen for their independence and experience in small business operations.
