Worldwide Plants First of 10,000 Tree ‘Forest’
With the expert guidance of SERCUL (South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare) volunteers, Worldwide National Support Office Staff and family members planted the first 500 of the 10,000 native trees Worldwide Online Printing has pledged to plant.
A tree will be planted in the ‘Worldwide Forest’ every time a customer of one of the group’s 90 Centres orders print on Worldwide’s new 100% post-consumer recycled paper range.
Worldwide printing and copying franchise CEO Mark Manderson said: “National Tree Day makes a huge contribution to reminding us how important it is to think about the environment, and this year we’re delighted to throw our weight behind the project by encouraging our 15,000 business customers to think Green.”
The Worldwide team planted native sedges and paperbark trees in the wet, muddy ground – ideal conditions for seedlings (but not for shoes!).
