Worldwide Online Printing Picks up Three PICAs

The annual Printing Industry Craftsmanship Awards (PICA) presentation took place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22 August, with exciting results for Worldwide Online Printing in WA.

The printing franchise group once again finished up with a full set of the prestigious awards at this year’s ceremony.

At the top of the list was Worldwide Online Printing O’Connor. The centre has been rewarded for its environmental efforts with the Gold Environment Award in the 1- 15 staff category for the third consecutive year.

Since the WA franchises of the business services franchise network received Green Stamp Level 2 accreditation in 2007 – an initiative of the Printing Industries Association of Australia and the Western Australian Department of Environment – Worldwide O’Connor has been leading the franchise network in environmental management.

“We’re very excited about the award, but not surprised,” said John Stangeland, WA Master Franchisee and joint owner of Worldwide O’Connor.

“We take our commitment to the Green Stamp programme very seriously and good environmental management has become a part of our everyday lives.”

The Silver award for the best DL Invitation design went to the printing franchise centre in East Perth for their creative effort on a piece for WA fashion label Aelkemi. Centre owner Simon Forrest and manager Mandy Dzelzitis are no strangers to the awards, with eight plaques up on their wall already.

Worldwide O’Connor also scooped up the Bronze award for Stationery – Single Item, printed for Precision Cabinets.

“Every PICA is a great honour for us and we’re already looking forward to next year,” concluded Stangeland.
