Workout World Malaga secures finalist accolade at inaugural Malaga District Business Awards

Franchisees Kristie and David Dignam from Workout World Malaga were proud finalists in the Best Franchise Business category of the inaugural Malaga District Business Awards on Friday 12th June. These local awards recognise Malaga business owners for customer service leadership, community engagement and support as well as a strong commitment to bolstering the local economy.

Fitness equipment franchise owners at Workout World Malaga since December 2006, Kristie and David’s business has gone from strength to strength.

Their decision to open Perth’s first Workout World franchise started taking shape when Kristie, a finalist from Series One of Network Ten’s The Biggest Loser, decided to share her new-found passion for health and fitness with the Perth community, spending her prize money on buying a sports equipment franchise.

"David and I share a strong, ongoing passion for helping locals with their fitness goals. We were thrilled to be one of the finalists in the Malaga District Business Awards and we recognise that without the support of our local community our business would not be the success story it is today," Kristie said.

"It is exciting to be acknowledged by the business community for our ongoing commitment to customer service excellence, growing our local economy and helping locals achieve their fitness goals," she said.

Kristie and David are very active in the community, sponsoring a comprehensive mix of local sporting groups and organisations, helping promote the ongoing lifestyle benefits of health and fitness. They support Ballajura Senior Football Club, Ellenbrook Secondary College, Landsdale Rockets, Churchlands Music School, Ballajura Senior Football Club, Landsdale Junior Football Club and many others.
