About Workforce Extensions
Workforce Extensions

The business involves the supply of personnel, both temporary and permanent to many industries. Our streamlined system of handling billings and payments is a key feature of the system. Benefits to the franchisee include the financing of wages and cash flow and the minimisation of administration and support functions.

Benefits
With the ever increasing cost and complexity of recruitment and the potential cost of terminating employees, more and more employers are turning to contract staff as a solution to the problem of maintaining a workforce.

The benefits to employers include:

  • Flexibility. The workforce can be increased or reduced at short notice without additional cost.
  • Training. The client knows that all staff engaged will undergo formal induction including necessary OH & S training.
  • Workcover. The workcover record of the client is not negatively impacted should a contract employee make a claim because they are not the "employer" for workcover purposes.
  • Cost. The administrative cost in employee record keeping is removed for the client.
  • Taxes and Levies. The requirement to pay such taxes and levies as PAYG tax, pay-roll tax, superannuation and the like are passed to Workforce Extensions and so the client is relieved of the need to make these payments.
Testimonials from some of our franchisees:

"I've been a Workforce Extensions franchisee since 2002 and my expectations have been exceeded in all areas particularly fiscal support and management, profit levels, systems that work, support and great advice. After over 20 years of management roles within a corporate environment and developing (and crashing) a small business, this franchise is like a breath of fresh air. "
Phil McLean, Franchisee, Monbulk.

"Workforce Extensions franchisees enjoy the fact that systems and financial support is second to none. A profitable business can be built quickly. Being a Workforce Extensions franchisee allows me to concentrate on building a successful and profitable business through strong financial and systems support. "
Peter Vero, Franchisee, Cranbourne.

"My Workforce Extensions franchise in Bendigo, Central Victoria, has provided a great system and framework for me to build a successful business that is both enjoyable and profitable. "
John Brewin, Franchisee, Bendigo.

How much will a Workforce Extensions franchise turn over and generate as profit in a year?
This is something that no one can accurately forecast. It depends on a number of factors, not least of which is your ability to develop new clients. At such time that we are satisfied that you are a genuine candidate we will assist you to develop your own financial forecasts for the operation of a franchise.

How much is the investment in a Workforce Extensions recruitment franchise?
The total investment in equipment and fees is around $135,000 plus GST. You will be entitled to claim a full credit for any GST you pay. This investment comprises:
  • Initial Franchise Fee of $65,000 plus GST
  • Office Fitout including equipment and computer hardware and industry specific software of around $60,000 plus GST
  • Initial marketing launch of around $10,000 plus GST
In addition you will need to allow for the fees of your own solicitor and accountant and for any prepaid expenses such as insurance and some working capital. You will also need to have a vehicle which is suitable for the purpose of visiting clients and prospective clients.

What is included in the equipment and office fitout?
The equipment comprises furniture (desks, chairs, filing cabinets etc), office machines (computers, printers and a photocopier) and software packages. Provided that you meet the minimum specifications required, you may select many of the actual items to suit your own requirements.

Does Workforce Extensions provide any assistance with financing the purchase of the recruitment franchise?
Yes, we can introduce you to our preferred equipment financier who offers leasing finance for office equipment to suitably qualified applicants.

I'm not a human resources expert; what assistance and training do you provide me with?
