WA franchisee's apprenticeship skills put to good use with What Scratch? automotive franchises
New franchisee Steve Cannarella has an apprenticeship in the motor trade industry and substantial previous business experience, both of which allowed him to get his new What Scratch? automotive franchise up and running before his training was even complete.
"I already knew the theory so it was just a matter of learning the What Scratch? products during training," Steve explains.
Since completing his four year panel beating apprenticeship in the UK 18 years ago, Steve has owned motor trade businesses and completed work for BMW and Mercedes.
He immigrated to Australia nine years ago, and bought an existing business bagging and distributing manure to pet and garden retail stores.
When Steve sold the manure business, he decided to buy the Osborne Park What Scratch? automotive franchise, the first What Scratch? territory to be sold by an existing franchisee.
Since then, new owner Steve has broken records and built the territory, explaining that "I'll see how it goes and do what I can do myself, but I might put another person in the van if I can't keep up with the work."
