Trampoline scoops up triple award wins in just one week
Trampoline has received three Award wins within the space of a week, taking out the Victorian and National title for Best Dessert / Ice Cream in the ‘I Love Food’ Awards, as well Highly Commended in the annual Food Magazine Challenge Awards.
Grant Crothers, founder and CEO of Dairy manufacturer Burra Foods said “The great thing about these wins is that one was voted for by the public and the other by a board of industry experts – highlighting the fact that not only have we got the best product but also that we are able to consistently deliver a fun and enjoyable customer experience.”
Tapping into their audience’s passion for food, the I Love Food Awards are unique in that they reward Australia’s best eat-outs as selected by the Australian public, giving everyone the opportunity to become a food critic. Overcoming a strong lineup of finalists all specialising in the dessert sector, Trampoline’s dessert franchise store in Doncaster took out the gong for 2009 with their compelling range of premium gelato and sorbet.
Capping off a great week, the ice cream franchise group also received a Highly Commended Award in the dairy category of the Food Magazine Challenge Awards for their lamington gelato. Essentially a lamington in gelato, the dessert franchise group received recognition not only for demonstrating innovation in terms of product, but also their food processing methods which includes supply chain control and single milk pasteurization, ensuring consistency and quality of final product.
With surprisingly different flavours such as Berry Pav, Lamington and Spotty Dog, Trampoline uses only the freshest, creamiest milk direct from Gippsland farms and the best all natural real ingredients available, including Belgium couverture chocolate and Sicilian pistachios. A key point of difference, the gelato connoisseur also makes all their gelato and sorbet fresh on site daily in each of their eight Melbourne stores, a stark contrast from many competitors whose ice cream is shipped frozen from overseas and may be up to six months old.
When asked what sets the dessert franchise ahead of other ice cream and gelato retailers, Grant conceded that the Italian tradition of ‘artisan gelato’ (made on site) was the only way to deliver an exceptional product.
