Innovative Tasmanian training franchise organisation launches franchise

The future for the Tasmanian economy is in continuing to create a business climate that nurtures innovation and entrepreneurship, Premier David Bartlett said today.

The Premier told guests at the launch of Tasmanian The Real Learning Experience that the Government is determined to continue with the modernisation of the Tasmanian economy.

“Here is an example of what can be done with young Tasmanian entrepreneurs taking their products Australia wide. Like so many of our other successful products and services, excellence is the corner-stone of what is offered and that enhances and builds on the Tasmanian brand.

“This time it is training that is being offered to the rest of Australia and that builds on one of Tasmania’s great strengths, its intellectual capital.

“And as we roll out broadband the opportunities for Tasmanian innovators and entrepreneurs will grow rapidly. That is very exciting.

Premier David Bartlett congratulated Simon Thiessen, Managing Director of the training franchise, not only for his vision, but for having the faith to invest significantly in this venture.

“Three years of hard work and $250,000 have been invested in ensuring that Real Learning Experience is ‘franchise ready’,” Mr Bartlett said.

Mr Bartlett said that the training franchise launch was a great step forward for The Real Learning Experience and had the potential for putting Tasmania on the map for another excellent product and service.

Mr Bartlett said “By franchising the 30 training programs and modules specifically developed by Real Learning Experience, the company is expanding its positive influence beyond what it could have achieved by remaining a single training organisation.”

“I am not aware of any other local training business that has taken this innovative step and franchised its program - complete with purpose-designed operations manuals, policies and procedures.

“I am advised that Real Learning Experience will be the first national corporate training franchise using solely Australian-developed materials.”
