Promoting Happiness with Humour and Jokes
The Happiness Institute coaching franchises believe humour and making jokes in an individual’s daily life helps boost levels of happiness.
Researchers from James Cook University in Carins, Queensland, had recently published an article on “Promoting Emotional Well-Being Through the use of Humour” in the Journal of Positive Psychology.
The researchers tested the hypothesis that “humour skills programs” would improve an individual’s emotional well-being by increasing their self-efficacy, positive thinking, optimism and perception of control. At the same time these humour skills help decrease negative thinking, experiences of stress, depression and anxiety.
The researchers discovered that training in humour skills was significantly more effective in comparison to encouraging their test participants to either do nothing or to interact with others in a social group.
The Happiness Institute positive psychology franchises encourage individuals to laugh their way to health and happiness.
