Online Version of The Happiness Diet to be released in 2011
The Happiness Diet, the latest positive psychology coaching program developed by Dr Tim Sharp, founder of The Happiness Institute , will be available in an online version early this year.
Dr Sharp claims that The Happiness Diet is an exciting new approach that was not simply created to target weight loss, but unhealthy eating habits in general. It is based on his ‘Primacy of Positivity’ theory and positive psychology coaching techniques.
The program is designed to help people attain the motivation levels, inspiration and positive energy they need in order to focus on developing healthy eating, fostering appropriate attitudes toward shape and weight, building positive relationships and creating new activity patterns.
Traditionally, The Happiness Diet is delivered in a small group program, consisting of approximately fifteen people. Dr Sharp says that he understands that despite their need for such a program, some individuals may not be able to overcome certain geographical, spare time and financial barriers to attend.
In order to overcome these potential restrictions, Dr Sharp has developed an online version of the program, which includes exactly the same content as the face to face programs, but allows for flexibility in time and location. The Happiness Institute hopes to have this version of the course available from late January.
The Happiness Institute is also in the process of recruiting facilitators who can guide participants through the face to face programs in various locations around Australia, further expanding their ability to provide this program to the public.
