Dr Happy delivers the message of The Happiness Institute life coaching franchises at the Opera House
Professor Timothy Sharp is a well-known leader of positive psychology in Australia, and the head of The Happiness Institute life coaching franchises.
In July, Professor Sharp, otherwise known as Dr Happy, got together with his good friend, musician Mr Percival, to present an event at The Sydney Opera House.
Dr Happy delivered a presentation in the Utzon Room on the importance of positive psychology, while Mr Percival brought musical entertainment, loosening up the crows with his unique style.
The Happiness Institute delivers its message in a variety of ways that is not just limited to its national network of life coaching franchises.
Professor Sharp travels around Australia delivering workshops, seminars and keynotes at various events. In addition he enjoys collaborating with others, including musicians, comedians and his coaching peers, to provide exciting events emphasising the importance of happiness.
The most central focus of the work done by Prof. Sharp and his colleagues, however, is bringing positive psychology to business performance coaching in corporate environments.
The Happiness Institute also offers others who want to do similar work an opportunity to purchase their intellectual property, allowing them to tailor the material for their own requirements, and the requirements of their clientele.
Instead of offering a traditional model of life coaching franchises, The Happiness Institute has developed a licencing model that permits individuals to use the intellectual property developed by the institute and leverage its respected brand to their businesses’ advantage.
The Happiness Institute is looking for the kind of person who has tertiary qualifications, some experience working in a coaching or psychology like field, and someone who has a passion for happiness and helping people to use positive psychology strategies in their life to take advantage of its distinctive approach to life coaching franchises.
Those with entrepreneurial flair, passion, enthusiasm and who fit in with The Happiness Institute’s work culture would be ideal.
Intellectual property supplied to licencees includes course manuals, administrative paperwork, books, CDs and research literature. With the constant development of new concepts, a licence is a dynamic product that evolves without further cost.
The investment will ensure that businesses can expand on their existing suite of intellectual property resources, or start a brand new business, while at the same time providing more flexibility and business autonomy than most franchise systems allow.
