The Burrito Bar secures two prime coastal locations
Australian Franchising Corporation (AFC) has secured two prime coastal locations in Queensland’s Mermaid Beach and Broadbeach Mall for the rapidly growing The Burrito Bar franchise.
Luke McGrath, Managing Director of AFC, has revealed the Mermaid Beach location is still available for buy-ins, but warns interested investors should get in quick.
“We were able to covert the Mermaid Beach site from an existing food vendor which means potential investors can buy-in at $150k which is one third of the usual $450k turn-key price,” said McGrath.
The Burrito Bar Broadbeach site is owned by Kim Toovey and is expected to open its doors on 12 December 2011.
The Broadbeach Mexican franchise is currently undergoing a fit-out to suit the Gold Coast community and has also already won a loyal customer following. The development of the Broadbeach site follows after the success of The Burrito Bar Mexican restaurant franchises located in Rosalie and Southbank.
“The culture and personality of the Burrito Bar brand was a big factor attracting me to this investment,” said Toovey.
“I had been to other Burrito Bar stores and the vibrant staff, funky interiors mixed with the authentic food offering was an easy sell for me. If you cannot walk into a retail business and be struck by that straight away then I feel you should walk away.”
The Burrito Bar is experiencing a rapid growth, which will see the brand spreading nationwide by the end of next year. Mermaid Beach will be the fourth Burrito Bar franchise to open this year.
The Burrito Bar Mexican cuisine franchise was voted Brisbane’s Best Mexican in the recent Brisbane Times poll. According to McGrath, this meant their franchise model would be appealing to many investors who recognised the value of the brand’s strong presence.
Kim Toovey says the AFC’s commitment to the Burrito Bar’s brand development puts the company ahead of other franchise corporations.
“If I could give any advice to potential franchisee’s, it’s to invest with a Franchise corporation who has developed solid brand values and has a powerful growth strategy in place,” said Toovey.
