Telcoinabox launches Australian and New Zealand Operations Centre

Support services for Telco in a Box telecommunications franchises will now be combined at their new Australian and New Zealand Operations Centre (ANZOC) in Sydney.

Founder and group managing director Damian Kay explains that the company aims to increase the number of service providers they support, while minimizing head counts.

“To support this growth while achieving greater scale and cost efficiencies we are investing $2 million in streamlining systems and processes over the next 2 years,” he adds.

Business development and product and account management functions will continue to be run from the respective country offices in Wellington and Sydney.

Damian says that “our business plan for the new financial year 2010/2011 is to build on our product innovation and stay focused on growth while fine tuning our systems and processes so they are watertight.”

He also adds that the company is currently in discussions with a number of potential master franchises in Europe, and plans to establish a European Operations Centre later this year.

Ten new staff are being hired for the new centre, including technical business analysts, billing specialists, human interface people, software developers, data-centric product managers, franchise channel managers and account managers.

New roles have also been created to manage human resources and in-house legal affairs.

As part of their further expansion plans, Telco in a Box will be able to offer operators of their telecommunications franchises a new generation of business grade products over the next 18 months, with the company allocating resources to developing and releasing products such as a feature-rich hosted voice and data solution to replace more traditional PABX systems.
