Supanews newsagencies partners with Mission Australia for Christmas
Supanews newsagency franchises continue their partnership with Mission Australia by giving customers a purpose to shop for greeting cards this Christmas.
The ongoing relationship includes Supanews donating a portion of Christmas greeting card sales to the family-oriented charity.
This year’s contribution will be to aid Mission Australia’s Pathways to Prevention Project, which assists disadvantaged families and children. The aim of the project is to help prevent the development of social problems, such as substance abuse, crime and anti-social behaviour.
“Many people hear the name Mission Australia, and only think of their employment services,” said Supanews Managing Director, Adrian Gaskin.
“However, Mission Australia has a diverse range of programs that directly combat some of our toughest social problems, by empowering people to help themselves. It is satisfying to know that our business can support them in this work, and we hope our customers will do the same.”
The Pathways to Prevention Project includes providing services in behaviour management programs, children’s anger management, grief and loss programs and parent support groups and parenting skill sessions.
For the fifth year running, Supanews franchisees and corporate stores will be coming together to raise awareness and rallying support for Mission Australia.
“We believe as a responsible franchise group, we have an obligation to give back to the local community that supports our business every day. Without the local community, our shops would not be the success they are,” said Gaskin.
Supanews newsagency franchises are also offering business opportunities in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and many other metropolitan locations.
