New Supanews store to open at Stockland Balgowlah

Supanews has announced the opening of a new newsagency franchise at Stockland Balgowlah on Monday 15th June. Supanews continues to seek opportunities to grow its popular newsagency network despite the economic downturn.

Set in The Village, Stockland Balgowlah is a new retail development on Sydney's northern beaches. Supanews is thrilled to be part of this new development of some 60 stores for the convenience of the Balgowlah community, which will cater to suburbs of Seaforth, Clontarf, Balgowlah Heights, Balgowlah and Fairlight.

The Supanews Balgowlah retail franchise is owned and operated by Andrew Urquhart and Jenny Hayes. Andrew and Jenny said they were attracted to the Supanews newsagency business because of the strong brand, smart fit outs and significant back office support that was provided to franchisees.

“In the current market environment, the opportunity to own and manage a store that retails staple newsagency products has real appeal. I’m self employed and able to run my own business but I know I have the support of the broader Supanews business which is willing to assist me, provide leadership and invest in the brand, despite tough times.”

Supanews has a target of opening its 60th newsagency franchise store by early 2010 and is currently looking for new sites across Australia.
