Concept:
The delivery of accounting, BAS and tax services to individuals and businesses using Success Tax Professionals (STP) method and marks (i.e. via structured business systems, tools and programmes developed by the franchisor that produce results and viability for accounting practice growth).
Qualifications Required:
An accounting qualification (diploma or degree) or where a formal qualification is not held, at least 50% of the accounting course needs to have been completed unless otherwise agreed by the franchisor. Tax Agent status is not required to join.

About Success Tax Professionals
Success Tax Professionals (STP) takes a different approach to building a true non-seasonal Accounting, BAS and Tax Practice. We provide intensive ongoing training and support in multiple areas of business and customise value added programmes for each franchisee's growth. Essential to our business focus is that no two franchisees are the same or at the same level of business development.
OUR FRANCHISE ACCOUNTANTS AND THE MARKET
The accounting and taxation market in Australia is estimated at being $14 billion per annum.
Success Tax Professionals franchisees are trained to offer the full range of services to the market, resulting in continuous work. Services include:
As a guide we require an applicant to hold an accounting degree or diploma, or have completed at least 50 percent of their course with a definite commitment to finishing studies. It is not necessary to have Registered Tax Agent status due to the unique structure of our franchise which legally bridges this requirement. Being prepared to work towards tax agent status after joining is however important.
Part-time operation is permissible for up to two years. All franchisees must be operating their franchise on a full-time basis and from commercial premises within the two year period.
Our programmes assist accountants to either achieve the transition or to commence immediately with a full-time commercial focus.
SUITABLE BACKGROUND
There are no specific conditions. Our franchise is flexible and adaptable. Examples of suitable backgrounds include mature aged students, migrants with overseas accounting qualifications, Australian accountants wanting to benefit from brand recognition, company accountants seeking to move into public practice, suitably skilled bookkeepers and tax preparers, or even those holding an accounting qualification who have perhaps never even worked in the industry.

As at July 2011 there are over 50 Success Tax Professionals franchisees. Every member's path has been different. We work as a virtual team with all of our accountants and build a strong interactive network. Some of our accountants start out part-time and others choose to be full-time from the beginning. An important feature of our business is that we build and review customised business plans in consultation with our members to facilitate achievement of targets and goals. "I joined STP in 2003 on a part-time basis. I originally came from South Africa and my tax qualifications were not recognised in Australia.
