Stufflers – Made By You is a home based Party and Event Company that supplies stuffing machines and animal bear skins and accessories for kids of all ages to build their own keepsake plush animal at birthday parties, Childcare and Vacation cares. Parents pickup the machines and bring them back after the weekend. You have very minimal weekend work and your hours work around kids at school.

Bear Building and Animal Stuffing has been around since the late 1990’s. The industry was developed by a very successful woman called Maxine when she started Build-a-bear. Buildabear is a retail bear building store. Group sales for Build a bear was over 400 million in America in 2009 and with other competitors in that field made up another 200 million in sales.

Whilst Stufflers is not affiliated with Build-a-bear we have established a brand and a franchise system based on the same philosophies. Our franchise system however is run from home. Parents pickup mobile machines from your home and take to their own birthday parties.

The business started in Australia in 2010 but as it has been developed under the Jumping J-Jays banner they are not new to children entertainment or parties. Jumping J-Jays has been established for 13 years and the team at J-Jays collectively have over 20 years of kid’s party entertainment and marketing experience.

John has engineered and improved existing stuffing machine technologies and developed a machine that is portable, easy to use and safe for kids. This is the first franchise in the world geared to penetrating the stuff-your-own-bear home based parties.

Traditional bear making has been around for about 10 years and mainly operated by the retail store called "Build-a-Bear". Their retail shop front, staff and operational costs cuts a huge percentage of the profits from business owners.

Children's birthday parties and Vacation cares are the initial target markets of our business. Our Fluffenstuff™ machines are portable enough to be picked up by parents, and we promote the pickup option as standard. To make a Stuffler you take the bear/animal skin, insert on machine and press down on the foot pedal and it comes to life.

A Stuffler is a great keepsake that kids get to take home after the party. Stufflers can have other accessories like outfits and sound chips, but the real magic is bringing the Stuffler to life!

We have franchisees and company owned stores that have opened up Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney metropolitan areas. Only 35 franchise territories are available across Australia.

Who are we looking for?

This business was designed for women. Typically mum at home who was career driven or a high achiever and who had a sales or customer service position in the past that wants to go about building up a career in her own business. You need to be bubbly, fearless and able to see potential in yourself and the product. As Stufflers only has 35 franchisees available within Australia the criteria to be successfully offered a franchise is high.
