Spectrum Analysis new website “Zenith Traffic” goes live in February, 2012
In conjunction with Veitch Lister Consulting and Harvest Digital Planning, Spectrum Analysis new website “Zenith Traffic” goes live in February, 2012. Zenith Traffic is a website that allows visitors to look at roads in all major capital cities and many large towns.
It is based on the Zenith Travel Model, which is developed by Veitch Lister Consulting, and consists of a database that includes average daily traffic estimates and commercial vehicle average daily estimates.
The Zenith Travel Model works by simulating the daily travel count patterns of individual people and households. It incorporates household and demographic profiles of each suburb and simulates ‘where’, ‘when’ and ‘how’ we travel.
The model is underpinned by:
- ABS Census Data
- Government Household Travel Surveys (over 100,000 households surveyed)
- Detailed road and public transport network information
“Being an ex oil company property manager, to me this would have been gold when considering service stations.”
This traffic estimate data has been licensed to Shell, McDonalds and Caltex and is now available to all companies via the Zenith Traffic website.
