Census Collection District (CCD) level database to assist market analysis
A census can offer valuable statistical data to businesses who want to make the right decision. However important investment decisions can not be decided based on Census 2006 - 4 year old, outdated information.
Spectrum Analysis has created a new database at Census Collection District (CCD) level, as an estimate of updated population and household numbers to assist in market analysis.
Peter Buckingham, Managing Director of Spectrum Analysis says “Our best understanding is C2011 will be released in late 2012, so we have 18 months approximately where we have the choice of Census 2006, or some form of updated information”.
Buckingham does not dispute the accuracy of a full census and states the Census Collection District (CCD) level database does not replace the full census but gives businesses the option to work from more accurate and up-to-date information and conduct a market analysis.
The new database is available for licensing as data into existing GIS systems or a Spectrum license committing existing and future customers to using the new database on all jobs they require. Spectrum anticipate a further 3 updates of their Product before the 2011 census is finally released.
