Realising the dream of being a business owner with Snap design and printing franchise
When Rob Mihalic started out as a delivery boy for his local printer, he knew that one day he wanted to own his own printing business. This month Rob achieved that goal, becoming the new owner of Snap design and printing franchise in Homebush Bay (formerly Snap Newington).
Even in the early days, Rob knew what his long term goal was and learnt the ins and outs of the print trade with his first employer, moving through the ranks from printing to sales and eventually management.
"I realised that running my own business was the way to go and put it down as a long term goal," Rob says.
In the meantime, Rob honed his skills in the industry working first for the design and printing franchise and Corporate Express, where he was responsible for the company’s print operations in Adelaide.
However, the birth of his first child saw Rob and his wife Bernadette return to Sydney – and to Snap, this time with Snap Corporate.
"I saw this as a great opportunity to learn more about franchising and that it would eventually put me in a good position to run my own Snap centre," he said.
When one of snap's design and printing franchises became available in Homebush Bay, Rob jumped at the opportunity.
"I knew it was an excellent opportunity and the right time to finally get into a business of my own," he said.
While he may have reached the goal of owning his own printing business, Rob knows his journey is just beginning.
"It is an exciting time for my family and I look forward to this next step in my printing career," he said.
