Shingle Inn Cafe opens iconic cafe in Browns Plains Grand Plaza

A local husband and wife team has recently opened a Shingle Inn Retail Cafes at Browns Plains Grand Plaza in Brisbane, Queensland.

Peter and Patsy Reddy have experience in managing family owned bakeries for 29 years in South Africa and New Zealand.

They decided to open the iconic Shingle Inn cafe franchises in the suburb of their new home. This has marked a new chapter for the couple, as well as the local families and residents of Browns Plains.

“Having worked for so long in our family’s business, it was important to us that we joined an organisation that hinged its brand and business upon family values,” said Mr Reddy.

“Instantly we felt that the quality of its coffee and cake, as well as the importance it places on providing genuine customer service, made Shingle Inn the perfect fit for us and we now look forward to introducing the café and what it represents locally.”

Andrew Bellchambers, Director of the Shingle Inn Cafe, has welcomed the franchisee couple and is very pleased to see the family tradition continue.

The Shingle Inn Cafe and coffee shop franchises have been providing their iconic Patty Cakes, pastries and sweet treats, as well as their coffee and lunch menu to all Australian families since 1936.
