CEO of Sherpa Group franchise consultants named South Australian Franchise Woman of the Year for 2010

The Franchise Council of Australia has announced that the CEO of franchise consultants Sherpa Group , Vicki Prout, has been named South Australian Franchise Woman of the Year 2010.

This is the fourth win for Prout, having previously won the award in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

After spending a decade in the Navy, Prout entered the small business arena by buying a pet food delivery company. Her franchising career seriously took off when she became the International Development and Marketing Manager for Cartridge World.

In this role, Prout gained real life experience franchising in over 40 countries.

With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the franchising sector, Prout started Sherpa Group in June, 2009. The franchise consultants now offer a range of business advice services internationally.

Prout says she has learnt a lot of valuable skills along the way but determination, motivation, and self-reliance have been the contributing factors to her successes so far.

“I am truly passionate about this industry, I live, breathe, and eat franchising, and I strongly believe in guiding people throughout their franchising journey,” she says.

“Although owning your own company is hard work I feel very lucky and can honestly say I absolutely love my job - how many people can say that!”
