SafetyQuip introduces Banwear flame resistant clothing range to its safety equipment franchises
Safety equipment franchise SafetyQuip Australia has recently introduced a new Banwear range of flame resistant shirts, trousers and overalls from Elliott – all available in Day and Day/Night HI VIS colours. Banwear is a single layer shirting fabric that meets the NFPA70E ‘Electric Arch Exposure’ hazard risk categories 0, 1 and 2.
Recent data relating to the aftermath of workplace burns shows that most fatalities are due to infection caused by burnt clothing. In fact a high percentage of those burns could have been survivable if flame resistant clothing was worn. Very soon all workplace hazards involving exposure to electrical arc flash and flame ignition will require flame resistant clothing to be worn.
