Lender Frank Nesci has made the switch to a Resi franchise
Becoming a franchisee for Resi has given experienced career lender, Frank Nesci, a new lease on life.
Nesci says the decision he took just over one year ago to join the established non-bank lender as their franchisee in the western Sydney region of Macarthur, has undoubtedly been the best decision of his career.
“Having already worked for various financial institutions and as a mortgage broker in the lending sector, I was ready for a new challenge within the same industry - but one where I could apply my entrepreneurial spirit,” Frank said.
Frank had worked in finance for twenty years, and as a mortgage broker for ten. He needed a challenge and knew that, with increasing levels of regulation, it was important any new venture be with a company that had experience and a great reputation.
“Hence, Resi was my first choice,” he said.
Although he now feels independent in terms of running his own home loan business, the key advantage in joining a franchise, Frank said, is having a great team for support.
“Resi have bent over backwards to do whatever they can to nurture me.
“The level of ongoing professional development and genuine support that I have from all levels of management, from the CEO down, that makes getting out of bed each day and going to work a pleasure,” Frank said.
He acknowledged there was a lot of choice in the marketplace, however the strength of the team behind him, as well as Resi’s respected brand and position in consumer advocacy space, made choosing the home loan providers an easy decision.
“It has reinvigorated my passion for the industry,” he said.
As a 41-year old with a young family of four, it was important for Frank to be able to capitalise on his industry expertise and professional experience but in a flexible environment that allowed a work/life balance and a happy personal life.
The beauty of Frank’s work now is that his wife can also be involved at a level that suits their family by initially helping out with books, with the option of expanding that role as their children get older.
Frank has been writing good, solid loan volumes since he started with Resi and within the first 12 months has been able to hire a mobile lender. He plans to continue to grow the business as he comes across the appropriate opportunities.
