Ready Steady Go Kids instructor becomes latest franchisee
Ready Steady Go Kids , a multi-sport program for preschoolers aged between two and a half to six years, is pleased to welcome new franchisee Sherrie Boulter from Victoria.
Mrs Boulter has taught the children’s fitness program over the last two years and has constantly been so impressed by the benefits each class offers the children that she has now purchased her own franchise in the Balywn, Templestowe and Doncaster regions.
Mrs Boulter is excited about making the program accessible to even more children in her region and is certain that ownership of this children’s sports franchise will only further improve the program’s quality.
“Having worked as an instructor I know firsthand what a fantastic program it is for preschool aged kids,” said Mrs Boulter.
The Templestowe program has more than 50 children enrolled each term, while the North Balywn program commenced in Term 4, 2011 to overwhelming response. This year the North Balywn program will increase from eight to ten classes per/week.
“My territory is still relatively under serviced” said Mrs Boulter. “I’m opening one new centre in Doncaster East in Term 1 and will then follow with another new location in Term 3 in Templestowe to meet growing demand.”
“I’m aiming to run full classes six mornings a week so that as many children as possible have the opportunity to experience the fun and benefits of Ready Steady Go Kids.”
Presently run at more that 50 national locations, the physio-designed sports program offers the ideal way to foster children’s appreciation for sport and exercise from an early age. Preschoolers gain important life skills and attitudes they will carry with them throughout their lives through participation in Ready Steady Go Kids.
The program teaches the fundamentals of 10 different sports in a social, non-competitive environment. It focuses on developing age appropriate motor skills and introduces children to the concept of sportsmanship by encouraging them to take turns, play by the rules and cooperate with their peers.
“There are enormous developmental benefits in practising motor skills, hand-eye and foot-eye coordination,” said Mrs Boulter.
“Children leave each Ready Steady Go Kids class more confident, cooperative and better prepared for school.”
“The kids love it because it’s so much fun; if only it had been around when my kids were little.”
Ready Steady Go Kids’ Director, Stuart Derbyshire is proud to welcome Mrs Boulter aboard as a franchisee.
“Sherrie is a fantastic member of the team and we’re delighted that she’s decided to take over the Balywn, Templestowe and Doncaster regions,” he said. “The fact that she’s an instructor is certainly a bonus. She’s so committed to the program and ensuring that it is accessible to as many children as possible; it’s a vision we share with her.”
