Price Attack health and beauty franchises pitch in to support Fijian communities
A community initiative announced by the Price Attack network of health and beauty franchises recently saw boxes upon boxes of children’s books make their way to Fiji.
The books were donated by The Children’s Book Council of Australia and distributed to island communities at the annual national franchise conference for the health and beauty franchises in Fiji.
PR Manager Victoria Lloyd explains that “Price Attack is in a position to share resources, which we often take for granted, with less fortunate children in Fijian schools so it’s wonderful be see this community initiative come to fruition.”
National Vice President of the CBCA, Megan Daley says she was thrilled to hear that the hair care franchises wanted to “help spread the importance of children’s literature throughout Australia and also across the seas.”
Established in 1945, the CBCA is a volunteer run, not for profit organisation that annually runs Book Week as a nationwide event, with celebrations taking place in every school across Australia and public libraries.
Price Attack presented the books to the Director of Fiji Library Services in Fiji, at a special gala dinner comprising of traditional Fijian food and entertainment.
