How long have you been in franchising?

We have been in the PoolWerx franchise system for three and a half years.

What made you choose franchising as a career option?

We chose franchising to enable us to build a business and not a job. It also gave us systems to build with which enabled us to grow our business.

Before we bought into the home services franchise I was in the mining industry and Lynda was with the education department for 21 years. PoolWerx has been a great change for us.

What do you see as the benefits of owning a Poolwerx mobile franchise?

The number one benefit is definitely the brand name and working with clients and helping them solve their pool problems.

This is a business which promotes professionalism, honesty and integrity.

What is the biggest challenge in your business right now?

The financial crisis is a massive challenge but we know we have the system, the work ethic and the strategies to get through this tough time and emerge as a stronger business.

What element of the business has been easier than you expected?

We are really enjoying our business which has made helping clients and problem solving a lot easier for us.

But just because we love what we do doesn't make all of it easier. We find it challenging each and every day and that is why we love coming to work.
