The New Zealand Natural franchise’s success story in the world of frozen desserts
New Zealand Natural started in Sydney in the year 1984 by Rael Polivnick. Polivnick was the director and majority owner of the frozen dessert franchise at that time. Then Rael sold his majority stake to the Emerald Group and in July 2005, the leisure and entertainment business was fully acquired by The Emerald Group.
The Emerald Group is run by Diane Foreman who is also the owner of the company. Diane is one of the leading entrepreneurs of with many years of experience in developing a number of international businesses. Diane, the Managing Director of The Emerald Group, is also a director of a number of other companies in New Zealand. The Emerald Group is owned by Diane and her husband Bill Foreman and has interests in 4 main sectors. These sectors are health, property, food and recruitment.
The property sector includes investments in commercial land, buildings and residential property, the food sector includes a 50 per cent stake in a New Zealand’s South Island milk processing company. The health section includes a large stake in New Zealand’s largest privately held hospital group.
