Wheeler's Hill hosts world first fitness concept
Wheeler’s Hill has become home to the world’s first My 30 Minutes fitness concept as the health, fitness and wellness centre opened at the Wheeler’s Hill Business Centre, 8/202 Jells Road in May 2008.
Based on a wholistic program to help busy women achieve optimal health and fitness, My 30 Minutes uniquely combines custom-designed, circuit-style training with an exclusive weight loss program and leading nutritional and wellness programs. The concept will be expanded across Australia over the next few years.
The sports and fitness franchise is the brainchild of Melbourne businesswoman, Jenny Anderson, who, having already built one successful company (the national success story Endless Spas) is using her skills to create the ultimate fitness destination for women just like her – aged between 30 and 70, time poor and uninterested in gyms.
Ms Anderson says that My 30 Minutes womens franchise provides a unique way for women to reach their health and fitness goals in a judgment free environment and supports them in continuous improvement.
“Women in my age group are increasingly concerned with wellness, how they look and feel, and being fit and healthy enough to be able to watch our children and grandchildren grow up,” says Ms Anderson.
“Until My 30 Minutes, circuit-style fitness options helped women to a certain point, however they quickly reached a plateau in their fitness gains. My 30 Minutes is different because we offer hydraulic equipment with 12 levels of adjustable resistance, which means you will not plateau and can always keep improving.
“Added to this latest fitness technology, we offer other elements to help women achieve optimum wellness. This includes our No Diet Weight Loss System, which members can undertake with assistance from an interactive website, wellness programs and educational tools to empower women to achieve a better and continually improving health and fitness level.
“To participate at My 30 Minutes, you don’t need to know much about weight loss and exercise. It is a simple and educative solution that offers results, care, support and motivation,” says Ms Anderson.
Uniquely, the My 30 Minutes circuit program uses hydraulic equipment with adjustable levels of resistance, so that users will always continue to improve both aerobically and in terms of resistance (a great preventative for osteoporosis).
My 30 Minutes will also run regular seminars hosted by experts, on topics ranging from cancer and weight loss to make up and wellness. Some sessions will be for members only while others will be open to the greater Monash community.
My 30 Minutes will soon be open seven days a week so that busy women can choose when they exercise and work on their wellbeing.
