Mrs. Fields Gourmet Cookies snack food franchises bring a tasty treat to Flinders Lane

The newest addition to the network of Mrs. Fields Gourmet Cookies snack food franchises will open on September 6th, in the middle of Melbourne’s central business district.

Located on Flinders Lane, the franchise will be the second for Lie Tjioe and his wife Suu, who now own Mrs. Fields snack food franchises in the Northland Shopping Centre in Preston and central Melbourne.

The husband and wife team says they wanted to offer central Melbourne locals a no-fuss indulgence that would fit in with their busy lifestyles.

“We wanted to be able to provide the local community with the little delights they deserved,” says Mr Tjioe.

Having lived in the centre of Melbourne for five years, the Tijoes are familiar with the pressures of city life. Giving time-poor Melbournians the chance to enjoy the range of Mrs Fields snacks was just one of the reasons behind the couples decision to extend their business.

Mrs Tijoe has also established a reputation as one of the best Cooke Cake artists at any of Mrs. Fields snack food franchises, producing personalised designs for customers in the northern suburbs.

Mrs Tijoe says that “Big Cookie Cakes are perfect for office functions as they make little mess and can be personalised with any message.”

“We really believe we think we will be able to offer something special to office workers in the CBD, looking to celebrate birthdays, farewells and other special events,” she adds.

With a wide range of Mrs. Fields fresh baked cookies, nibblers, coffee, muffins, brownies and cookie cakes on offer at their snack food franchises, Mr Tijoe has still found his preferred choice.

“My favourite cookie is without a doubt fresh baked white chocolate macadamia, when it comes out of the oven, it tastes just like heaven,” he says.

Mrs. Fields Flinders Lane store opens on September 6th.
