Mrs. Fields Gourmet Cookies announces expansion of cookies franchises in Victoria

The Mrs. Fields Gourmet Cookies network of cookies franchises will expand next month with the opening of a brand new store at The Glen shopping centre in Mt. Waverly.

Opening its doors on 14th October, this will be the first of Mrs. Fields cookie franchises to incorporate a New Zealand Natural Ice Cream parlour into the store.

The two companies have had a long association, including many stores located side by side, however this will be the first store where they are fully incorporated.

The combination of these well-established snack food franchises has presented owner Victor Ho with an ideal business venture with which to launch himself into a new career.

Having worked as a bank teller for the past five years, Mr. Ho was on the search for a project to provide him with career drive and a chance to offer great customer service.

“Mrs. Fields was a great opportunity for me because it’s a well established franchise with great product, and when they offered to add the New Zealand Natural Ice Cream offer it was an easy decision,” he explains.

The training program and support network offered to all cookies franchises under the Mrs. Fields banners made the choice even easier, Mr. Ho says, making it easy for him to learn and to work in comfort.

The Mrs. Fields treats speak for themselves, he believes, and he is looking forward to dedicating his time to developing a strong relationship with customers at his new store.

“What I want to do is make some great coffee so it becomes a favourite place for people to come to, meet up with friends and have a good time,” he adds.

As with all cookies franchises in the Mrs. Fields network, Mr. Ho will offer a full range of:

• nibblers
• coffee
• muffins
• brownies; and
• cookie cakes.
