Mortgage Choice awarded two honours at 2009 MFAA Awards

Mortgage Choice is proud to have claimed two esteemed industry accolades at this year’s Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) Awards, held in Sydney on Friday night.

For the fourth time in five years, the nationwide franchisor won the Retail Aggregator / Originator of the Year award, which is open to originator groups where all members trade under the same brand. Mortgage Choice’s previous wins occurred in 2008, 2006 and 2005.

In addition to the company accolade, long-time franchise partners Mark Boulton and Anthony Smith won Mortgage Broking Business of the Year (6+ Loan Writers). It is the business duo’s second award for the year, having won 2008 Mortgage Choice Victoria/Tasmania Multi Franchise Operator of the Year at the company’s national conference in January.

Managing Director or Mortgage Choice financial services franchise, Paul Lahiff, said the company and its network is overjoyed with being bestowed both honours at the MFAA Awards ceremony.

“Winning Retail Aggregator / Originator of the Year is a compliment to the entire Mortgage Choice family, from our franchise network to our staff, lender partners and suppliers,” he said.

“We are proud to have been recognised in this category a number of times. It indicates how hard we work together to uphold the company’s core values regardless of any challenges. Nominated Mortgage Choice finalists included: Colin Fairchild, Mortgage Choice in Clayfield (Achievement Award); Brad Anderson, Mortgage Choice in Dee Why, (Mortgage Broker of the Year); and Graham Bowling, Mortgage Choice in Mackay, (Mortgage Broking Business (2-5 Loan Writers)).
