How long have you been in franchising?

What made you choose franchising as a career option?
A proven system with ongoing support and training. I chose Mortgage Choice because of its good reputation, great potential and brand awareness. The flexibility of the system was an attractive feature as I could start the business from home and move to premises as the business grew or keep working from home. Mortgage Choice was an ideal opportunity for me as I was not from a lending background and they offered the training and support to build the business to a profitable level within a short amount of time. The number of already successful franchisees and their positive outlook made me want to be a part of it.
Why do you think you are successful?
My success can be attributed to using the Mortgage Choice system and implementing ideas from other franchisees, state marketing meetings and quarterly conferences. Of course, some of it comes from experience…there are valuable lessons to be learned from all mistakes!
What is your ultimate goal?
Ultimate goal? I guess I have to choose one…To retire having built a successful business that gave my family every opportunity possible to pursue their passions in life, to be happy, to own my dream home on the waterfront!
What has most surprised you about what you do now?
The potential of the business. There’s no limit as to how much you can earn.
Is there any advice you would give to potential franchisees?
Just do it! It took me two years to decide on a franchise and I imagine now how much further I could be now had I bitten the bullet and made a decision sooner. There is plenty of business for everyone!
