Online nutritional calculator launched by Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill quick service restaurant franchises

Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill has announced the launch of a new online, interactive calculator that will provide customers of its quick service restaurant franchises with detailed nutritional information on its entire range of Baja Mexican cuisine.

Available now, the calculator has been optimised for use on smart phones, and presents customers with detailed information as they build their meal, including amounts of:

• saturated fat
• calories
• kilojoules
• sugar
• protein; and
• carbohydrates.

The launch of the nutritional calculator coincides with the removal of trans-fat from all menu items at the quick service restaurant franchises, and highlights the company’s focus on refining their menu choices to offer a fresh and healthy fast food dining option.

The calculator also pre-empts new regulations that will be introduced in New South Wales from February 2011, requiring fast food outlets with more than twenty stores in NSW, or fifty stores nationwide, to display nutritional information on each item on their menu.
