LookSmart Alterations, Australia and New ZealandÕs franchised tailor network, has hemmed 3000 pairs of jeans and raised more than $15,000 for the Children’s Medical Research Institute.

Taking part in the Jeans for Genes Day fundraising effort this month, franchisees were united under a common cause by offering reduced price jean shortening services at 72 stores and offering $5 jeans hemming at a pop-up hemming suite in Martin Place, Sydney (pictured).

LookSmart Alterations founder, Abraham Hatoum, said “We are committed to providing ongoing support to the Jeans for Genes fundraising effort and aim to raise at least $100,000 for the charity over the next five years.

“Sewing fashion with fundraising together made sense for our network and we appreciate the continuous support of our customers and franchisees who are helping us to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.”
