The Latte Cartelle, drive-through coffee began trading in Elsternwick and Hallam in the south/eastern of Melbourne in 2003 and 2004 respectively. These stores were the first drive-through coffee outlets in Melbourne and represent a growing market in the need for convenience and quality.

The company first offered franchising in 2008 with the sale of their first drive-thru coffee franchise site in December 2008.

“Our business has very specific site requirements; therefore lead time is generally 6 – 12 months from the suburb identification to planning approval with council. Although this is frustrating, the rewards are worth the wait” Tsiokas said.

The Latte Cartelle drive-through coffee franchise group has various sites around Melbourne currently under negotiation and planning. The main focus for franchise growth in 2009/2010 is throughout Melbourne and other major centers in Victoria, however interstate Master Franchise applications will be considered.
