Jaymak – Food & Beverage Refrigeration is set to launch into New Zealand

Jaymak - Food & Beverage Refrigeration , has been busy building its brand in the Australian market over the last two years with enormous success. Bill Christou, a co-founder of Pizza Haven who sold his interest to Dominos and Eagle Boys, was recruited in 2007 to assist them in developing the Jaymak business throughout Australia and prepare them for an international launch. 

Only a few more equipment hygiene franchisees in various regions across Australia are being recruiting to complete Jaymak's expansion program before it can embark into New Zealand in early 2010. Out of a total of 96 territories on offer 71 have already been sold in only 4 years of franchising in Australia and it will not be long before these remaining territories are snapped up.

Bill Christou is the right operator to launch the Jaymak coolroom hygiene franchise brand into New Zealand having previously established 42 pizza outlets with sales in excess of $20M throughout the country.

“It will be great to relaunch a new business into New Zealand, they are very receptive to new concepts over there and equipment hygiene services will be very complementary to the food industry that I love.” Christou said

There is no business in New Zealand that specialises in equipment hygiene and Jaymak will be the pioneers in this field of work. The equipment hygiene franchise has already been talking to a number of keen potential franchisees.

The first franchisees will be recruited for the Auckland market before expanding into Wellington, Christchurch and regional centres.

“We are very keen to go off shore and do business with our New Zealand neighbours, it was always on the cards and now is the right time.” Mark Mackenzie the Jaymak Managing Director said.

The Jaymak equipment hygiene franchise business has also had some cosmetic changes over the last two years to facilitate a number of key strategies. One major change was to enhance the image of the brand and reflect the quality of the services that are now being offered.

Jaymak has extended its service to include more than just coolroom remediation programs. The additional services offered under the new Equipment Hygiene Services franchise banner include services to equipment such as air-conditioners, dishwashers, ice machines, door seal replacement and fridges. The first point of call is to service their existing customers before embarking on a campaign to extend the service to everyone else.

The results over the last two years have been outstanding with growth in excess of 35% per year. This was contributed by increasing current franchise sales along with recruiting new franchisees to the network.
