The beverages franchise sources its beans from East Timor, Brazil, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Ethiopia and India. Each country’s beans have a distinct set of dominant traits. While Brazil’s beans are well known for their aroma, the restaurant and café business says that beans of Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras and Mexico possess the right blend of acidity for balance and feel in the mouth.
The Jamaica Blue has a world-class roasting facility, where the beans are roasted, cooled, and allowed to stabilise for three to four days. The roasted coffee at the beverages franchise is packaged only once they develop their full flavour. High quality espresso coffee is prepared at the café by extensively trained baristas.
Apart from giving its visitors ‘a fine coffee experience’, the Jamaica Blue franchise also sells whole coffee beans, decaf ground coffee, decaf whole beans, and whole beans in take it home packs. The café franchise also serves fresh light meals such as cakes, slices and biscuits. In collaboration with the Food and Nutrition Australia, the restaurant and café business has introduced a new Lite Blue Menu Range of meals.
The products in the new Lite Blue Menu range include healthier varieties of Turkish breads, pastas, salads, wraps, frittatas and sweets. These products are made such that they contain less than 10 grams of fat per serve, and less than 1500 kilojoules per serve. Customers can also enjoy freshly prepared juices, nutritious milkshakes, frappes, and smoothies.
