Independent Curtains

Independent Curtains was an idea conceived by a husband and wife team (Erika & Manuel Schembri) in order to expand on and market their fifteen years experience in fabric wholesaling, curtain manufacturing, interior designing, sales and marketing. The business was established in February 1992 and now operates with two warehouses in Wetherill Park and Kogarah in metropolitan Sydney. The Independent Curtains business has always believed that the best channel for distributing its product and services is direct to its customer’s doors. Therefore the Independent Curtains business has never services its customers from a retail outlet. Instead a home office distribution strategy has always been practiced and has resulted in profitable success. Within the first 12 months of operation, the business became so successful that they expanded operations into in-house manufacturing allowing for greater quality control.
