How much is a Hudsons Coffee franchise?
There are two types of sites at Hudsons Coffee:
1) Existing sites. The purchase price will vary depending on the differing profitability of each store
2) Greenfield (new) sites. The estimated cost of a Hudsons Coffee Franchise can be anywhere between $380,000 and $450,000, the overall cost will depend on the start up costs and size of the site. Price for a Hudsons Coffee Franchise will also depend on whether you would like to purchase a Greenfeild site (new) or an existing site that can be purchased for a negotiated price.
How much does Hudsons Coffee charge in ongoing fee's?
Hudsons Coffee will charge the Franchisee an advertising levy and Royalty. Both are taken as a percentage of the gross profits of your store. The Royalty is 8% o f the franchisees gross monthly revenue and the advertising levy is 2% of a gross monthly revenue. These fees are automatically deducted on a monthly basis.
Is there a training program at Hudsons? If so, what is covered in the training program?
All new franchisees attend an 8 week training course conducted in a Hudsons Coffee store. Topics include everything from Coffee Basics, Barista Brilliance, Marketing, Administration, Operations, Accounting, Purchasing and Product knowledge. We place a tremendous emphasis on training because the art of great coffee making IS a combination of the coffee beans and machinery, and most importantly the skill of the Barista (coffee maker). We'll teach you how to make coffee the Hudsons way, because we know what our customers want.
Who builds a Hudsons Coffee Store?
We have an in-house Project/Design Manager who is responsible for the fit-out of each store. With our national network of approved suppliers and contractors, this ensures a high standard of quality workmanship which is consistent across all stores.
What experience do I need to open a Hudsons Coffee store?
Having a background in retail and hospitality would be beneficial; however, we are seeking people who have a strong work ethic, business acumen and the desire to succeed (refer to the section on our Hudsons Coffee Franchisees and read more about their backgrounds)
Does Hudsons Coffee require franchisees to be involved and operating the store?
Yes, the Hudsons Coffee business requires the owner attend to the daily and operational needs of the store. It is imperative that the franchisee becomes personally involved in all elements of their business. Training will take you through a structured 8 week program that will enable you to work on the floor, mange staff, make coffee and perform all business administration that are essential for owning and operating of your own business.
