HISTORY OF HUDSONS COFFEE

At Hudsons Coffee, we are only as successful as our franchisees. Through the years, we have grown from one store on Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, to 65+ stores Australia wide.

In 1998, we opened our first store on Elizabeth Street in the heart of Melbourne CBD. The goal was simple—offer quality coffee, served efficiently in a contemporary environment for time poor professionals. Our vision succeeded and we have since grown around the country. Now, we’re proud to feature our Elizabeth Street store as our national flagship store.

In 2003, we were ready for the next step. After years of developing our operations, we positioned ourselves to ensure a successful transition to a coffee franchise model. And that same year, Hudsons Coffee opened the first franchised store in South Australia.

Currently, Hudsons Coffee is owned by Emirates Leisure Retail Australia (ELRA) Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of the high-profile Emirates Group. ELRA develops and operates a diverse range of hospitality and leisure businesses that include only the most superior and reputable brands. Hudsons Coffee is proud to be a part of this successful family.

SUPPORT AND TRAINING

We already know you like coffee, so we are committed to increasing your product and business knowledge. We offer a dedicated six week training program to include various components such as floor management, back of house and accounts (just to name a few)—all preparing you with the tools needed to successfully operate your business.

Moreover, our interactive intranet system allows you to communicate with other franchisees, store managers, and support office staff; sharing successes, swapping training advice, asking questions and providing customer feedback—all with just a click of the mouse.

When operating your store, a dedicated franchise consultant will be available to answer questions and queries. Your franchise consultant will also make individual store visits every 4 – 6 weeks.

AVERAGE FINANCIAL DETAILS

• Average store cost: $250K – $400K (includes franchising fee of $60K) 
• Training Fee: NIL 
• Royalty: 8% Gross Sales 
• Marketing: 2% Gross Sales
